Greetings from the students at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita!

We thank you for your interest in the Jaydoc Community Clinic.

Since January 15, 2005, KU medical students have operated a student-run clinic, the Jaydoc Community Clinic (JCC), in cooperation with the KU School of Medicine Wichita and Community and Guadalupe Clinic. Below you may find some more information about the clinic.

Who can to come to the clinic?

Any patient that is without insurance can be seen at the Jaydoc Clinic for their health care needs.

How much does it cost?

C
linic services are FREE.  We do ask for a five dollar donation if the person is able to afford it, however, clinical services will still be provided if the person does not have the money.

What can I get done at the Jaydoc Community Clinic?

W
e can provide most of the services that any other health clinic can provide, with the exception of caring for mothers during their pregnancy.

When is the clinic open and where is it located?

The clinic is open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m and is located in the Guadalupe Clinic at 940 S. St. Francis

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call (316)264-8974 to request a scheduled appointment time with the Jaydoc Clinic.  We also welcome walk-ins.

Will I get to see a real doctor?

The answer is yes; a licensed physician will see every patient.  Patients are checked in by pre-medical student volunteers from one of the local universities.  A 3rd or 4th year medical student will talk with you about what brought you to the clinic, then the doctor will talk further with you.

Who will follow up with my care?

Patients who are seen at the Jaydoc Community Clinic can be scheduled for appointments during the week with the Guadalupe Clinic, which is at the same location as our clinic, or continue care at our Saturday clinic.

Robert volunteers every Saturday and will be at the front desk to check you in and help schedule your next appointment
.

Patricia is another volunteer and friendly face you can count on seeing every Saturday at the Jaydoc Community Clinic.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us anytime.

Thanks, we hope to see you at the clinic!!
